Florals by

August Tree Flower Farm

It was a true honour designing the florals for Amy and Johnathans Toronto wedding this past July.

Amy left the colour palette and designs to me entirely! When this happens, I feel so trusted and of course.. incredibly excited. I feel there is opportunity to trust the garden and harvest and design with whatever is freshest and most beautiful that week.

DETERMINING THE PALETTE

I knew Amy was wearing a simplistic and romantic gown, and that her girls would be in a soft blush. I also knew that the overall vibe of the venue was "industrial & chic".

I wanted to honour these beautiful aspects of her wedding day.

The Roseanne Brown and White Lisianthus were coming into bloom that week. I knew their beautiful faces were shining up at me for a reason and I created the rest of the palette and design around that specific variety and those colours. Blush Garden Roses and a sprinkle of white Ranunculus also made a grand appearance.

Other elements from the garden that I couldn't resist were Fountain Top Grass, Queen Anne's Lace, Forsythia Greens, Cup & Saucer Vine, Shisho and Apricot Stock.

However, I was most excited to forage for raspberry greens on my new farm. These were truly the backbone to this entire design and I made sure to leave some ripening berries on the greens. Truly delivering something only a FARMER florist can - Farm fresh berries integrated into the florals.
