I have a vision. A vision to create a special pocket in this world where I grow the most beautiful flowers and host the most memorable experiences. I envision not only growing sustainable wedding florals for my customers, but to also provide an opportunity for them to connect with the very grounds their flowers grew. I am beyond exciting that this vision of mine has come to fruition on this new farm.
I love offering such a sustainable floral option for my couples. I am proud of the work we do here. We recognize that flowers are more than beauty.. they are gifts from the earth and we love the process of nurturing them from seed and designing the most heartfelt florals. It feels like important work for us. Lessening the need for imported flowers, we grow almost 100% of our flowers right here at August Tree Flower Farm. Completely natural and grown with utter love. We determine our flower varieties and colours based on the desires of our wedding couples and what we feel would best suit them for their special day. We select the most premium seeds and begin carefully sowing in the early season. Our service is completely custom and sustainable from beginning to end. And we are deeply proud of this.
Along with our sustainable wedding florals, we are deeply passionate about offering experiences on our farm. The desire to create a space for connection came with the changes in our world in 2020. It was at this time that we learned that people not only WANT to connect.. there seemed to be a real need for it also. We began opening our farm for workshops.. and from there we knew this was a passion of ours. “An Evening In The Garden” is our summer series where we meet in the garden as the sun is setting. We sip wine, connect and create beautiful centrepieces. Over the past 3 seasons I have witnessed reunions after lock down, birthdays, anniversaries and friends making the most incredible memories together.
Our farm offerings have grown immensely since the move to our new farm. We are now able to host events in our romantic heritage barn if it is raining. The farm tour has become one of tales and hope. I love sharing where we have come from and what we have planned next for this journey.
We are so excited to have extended our farm experience and to now offer Farm-Stays. So much love and detail has gone into preparing our on farm accommodations. This furthers the opportunity for our workshop attendees and wedding couples to experience the farm and where the flowers have been grown.
In a perfect scenario we would welcome our wedding couples to stay in either The PearTree Hilltop Cabin or The Flower Garden Farmhouse either in the days leading up to their wedding, or as a relaxing stay once the big day has past. A way to connect with where their flowers were grown.
The vision was to offer a sustainable floral option.. And then provide an opportunity for connection. And I am overjoyed that this is all coming to life here at this new farm. It is a dream come true.
